OH Happy Day!

I check Craigslist regularly in hopes of one day finding a small table to set my microwave on and a Windsor chair or two. On Tuesday my browsing paid off. A STICKLEY FANBACK WINDSOR!!! My only problem was I would not be available to pick it up until Saturday. I was a nervous wreck for 4 days praying the seller would not break his promise and sell it to someone else before I could get there. In the meantime I found just the right table locally.
I am very happy to say both pieces are in my possession and I now have to figure out where this big chair can fit in my limited space.
You just never know where you're going to find your treasure!

They are both lovely! I can't imagine someone letting them go! Styles are personal aren't they! I have been wanting Windsors. I have some old beat up Ethan Allen ones and the seat is so comfortable compared to other wooden chairs. May I ask what color is your walls and trim? Can wait to see where you put your new treasures!

Thank You for stopping by ladies and for your comments!

Karen, my walls are antique white, the trim and doors are Elephant Gray.
I'm suppose to be downsizing! Ha!

Downsizing and the Minimalist Movement can be wonderfully freeing I have heard. In some ways though your style is minimal but I guess not as minimal as others. One could say that you are a keeper of the old and that is an admirable quality to possess. It honors our family and our people's history. Thank you for sharing the colors. I adore elephants and would love to get to know one but do not like to go to zoos. The entrapment is too hard to bear.
