SUCH A BEAUTIFUL SIGHT

I have my computer sitting on my table that faces the window so that I may watch the birds at the bird feeder. More often than not I see the squirrels hanging from one of the feeders and dumping the seeds all over the ground.There's one of them now...the little seed hound!

Right next to my computer I keep my camera handy so that I can catch my little feathered friends. I have quite a collection of backyard bird photos.

Today I had an unexpected visitor hoovering over the Lime Bush and for me it was such a beautiful sight!

Does anyone know the name of this butterfly?

It's been a while since I've tried to sell any of my handmades and I have been curious about Etsy for quite some time. Today was the day to give it a try. I have listed 3 items for sale in my Etsy shop and I will gradually add more items as time allows. I not only have my handmades to offer but also some useful items for your primitive home as well. Here is where the kids had a really good time. There are lots of attractions for the smaller kids here. The parade of characters was so entertaining and I even took a picture with two of my favorite characters Woody and Buzz!

The Tree of Life was one of my favorite attractions as we entered the Animal Kingdom. The Tree of Life, a sculpted 14-story (145-foot tall), 50-foot wide tree, is the centerpiece and icon in Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park. A theater is housed in the Tree of Life root system where the It's Tough to be a Bug! show is performed. I took so many pictures as we visited all 4 parks that I will have to gradually post some of my favorites. Be sure to click on each picture to get a better view.

EASTER DAY SPENT AT TYBEE ISLAND BEACH

Just a few pictures of the grandkids on the beach. You'll notice that my daughter and I are not in any of them because we hate getting our picture taken. Little Aiden didn't want to have anything to do with the ocean so he came running back to where my daughter and I were sitting. Taia and her dad had a great time in the water. I did take a picture with Buzz and Woody when we were at Disney World I will try and post some of those tomorrow but in the meantime I have added pictures of Disney's Epcot Center in the top left hand column of this blog. Hope you all had a great Spring break, we sure did!

I occupy the lower level of my Daughter's home while upstairs where she and her family live is a much different style than mine. They don't care for primtives or antiques so when it was time to give my oldest granddaughter's room a make over from her beach decor, I chose to go black and white with small touches of teal.
Below is what I have completed so far. I will just add a large picture above her bed as soon as I find one suitable.

BEDROOM RE-DO

Here's what I have done so far of my bedroom re-do.
I know, I have done this so many times your heads are probably spinning =)
I can't help it...I get an idea in my head and I can't rest until I see it through.
Blue seems to be what's in my vision this time around so I have been looking for different shades of blues and browns. Still looking for a pair of curtains and something to hang on my old wooden gate.
As soon as I get a little more time I'll post some more picture on my picture trail.
Let's just hope I don't get another vision any time soon.

My Swap Goodies

Pam of "GoldieLoo Woodworks" was my secret Christmas swap partner this year in TDIPT's annual Christmas Swap.

This is what I received from her:

Pam, I placed your handmade checker board on the wall in my bedroom.

Your handmade Christmas word sign is hanging out in the entryway. Can you see the Merry Christmas ornament I placed at the top of the tree?

I placed all of the blackened beeswax snowmen, the big jingle bells, and your miniature handmade wooden signs on my primitive tree. I hope we get some cooler weather so I can put those red gloves to good use =)

I'd never seen the Bell Jar Candles before and I am so glad you included one in my package. You know I NEEDED that tin Santa note pad, (I'm at that point in my life were everything that I hope to remember should be written down) Can't wait to try the goats milk soap and lotion and as for the candy...well that didn't last any longer than to take a photo of it! As soon as I get myself some free time I'm going to mix up that dip and try some of that Caramel Apple Cider. Mmmmmmmmm!

No matter who Pam gets as a partner she is always over the top generous with her "givings".

I was so excited to see her name on the outside of my package and upon opening it I was more than pleased!

I purchased a Canon a while back and ended up taking it back to the store.
Just a couple of days ago I went back and got the updated version of that same Canon.

My L'IL Granddaughter's Room

Some of you know that when I moved into my Daughter's home, I gave up my sewing room so that my 8 year old granddaughter could bunk downstairs in my living space.

It has been over a year since I sold anything on Ebay and yesterday was the start of our group holiday launch.
Boy did I have trouble trying to list an item!

I became so frustrated that after listing that one item I gave up and decided to have a "I'm much more familiar with blogger" sale, on my selling blog instead. New Front Door

As the contractor was preparing to install the new door he said he noticed what might be termites.
My daughter got on the phone immediately and called Orkin. Orkin came rather quickly to discover they were only little black ants. (Thank goodness!) They treated us for the ants, but now we are going to have them come back and give us a treatment for termites.

Here is the new door all installed. Now all it needs is some paint!

I did a bit of decorating for Halloween outside but we are now getting a new front door, so it will have to come down until the new door is installed and then I probably won't want to put nails in the new front door. Ha!
