Hello Blog Friends!

I am busy helping with the renovations at the new house and in between doing a little shopping for my new space. There's not a lot of time for much else. We've got to get the new house finished or we'll be looking at renting the house we're in now for another month. I don't want to rent this house for another month the homeowners don't take the best care of it. There are lots of things here that need their attention and repair. I'll be happy to say GOOD RIDDANCE to this rental! Here are a few pictures of my latest finds on Craigslist All I had to do to the table was paint the base of it blackThe four Windsors were a steal at $60! The next time you see the chairs a couple of them may be a different color =)I did finish painting the bed that I got on Craigslist a while back but you probably won't see it again until it's actually set up in my new space.Wishing you all a HAPPY SPRING! ANOTHER FIND

After finding the bed and the nightstand on Craigslist I decided to search again for a cupboard that I could use in my kitchen at the new house. We are in the process of making renovations and will continue to rent until the renovations are complete. So I have time to pick out paint colors and just a few kitchen items that will go nicely with my new color scheme. There will be pictures of my before and after when the tasks are all done. In the meantime here are pictures of the cupboard I purchased on Craigslist, from a very sweet lady who was downsizing and what a bargain I got!

MY REPURPOSED NIGHT STAND

Here is the night stand that came with the bed that I found on Craigslist Here is the night stand all finished and turned into a chest. I had to remove the drawers and add a wood panel to the front. I also had to remove the top panel, add hinges, paint and slightly distress. The inside is lined with fabric. I wanted to paint something on the top or the front but my daughter thought I should leave it alone. I will live with it like this for a while and if the urge to paint something on it is still itching at me I'll probably give in to it. It was a fun and simple project...now I must finish painting that bed!

I FOUND THESE

I don't use Craigslist for anything but when I saw the deal one of my friends got on that site I was on the search for Windsor chairs. I would love to purchase a couple of brand new ones but if you have ever priced them you know a single chair could set you back well over $500. I have had no luck finding any in my area so the search continues. While searching several days ago I did come across what I considered a deal on a bed. I tossed and turned for a couple of nights hoping it would still be available when I got a chance to go check it out. Well yesterday I was able to go check it out. It was love at first sight for me and before the owner could count the money I shoved in her hand, I was headed to the SUV with headboard in tow. It actually came with a footboard, sideboards and a side table too. The side table is not my taste but maybe there is something I can convert it into so it's not a total waste.(ANY SUGGESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE FOR THE SIDE TABLE WILL BE WELCOMED) Here is the headboard Here is the footboard Now here is that side table that I need suggestions for. (It also has a piece that slides out.) So what do you think? I may strip the bed down and paint it too. Looking for your help bloggers! Thanks! Audrey
