Updated Teens Room

I occupy the lower level of my Daughter's home while upstairs where she and her family live is a much different style than mine. They don't care for primtives or antiques so when it was time to give my oldest granddaughter's room a make over from her beach decor, I chose to go black and white with small touches of teal.
Below is what I have completed so far. I will just add a large picture above her bed as soon as I find one suitable.

Pam, I placed your handmade checker board on the wall in my bedroom.

Your handmade Christmas word sign is hanging out in the entryway. Can you see the Merry Christmas ornament I placed at the top of the tree?

I placed all of the blackened beeswax snowmen, the big jingle bells, and your miniature handmade wooden signs on my primitive tree. I hope we get some cooler weather so I can put those red gloves to good use =)

I was so excited to see her name on the outside of my package and upon opening it I was more than pleased!

Just Fooling Around

I purchased a Canon a while back and ended up taking it back to the store.
Just a couple of days ago I went back and got the updated version of that same Canon.
So far I love it and below are some shots I took around the house while testing it out.

New Front Door

As the contractor was preparing to install the new door he said he noticed what might be termites.
My daughter got on the phone immediately and called Orkin. Orkin came rather quickly to discover they were only little black ants. (Thank goodness!) They treated us for the ants, but now we are going to have them come back and give us a treatment for termites.

Here is the new door all installed. Now all it needs is some paint!
