I'm Moving

I am moving and it is going to be hard to say goodbye to this old 1840 house but I long to be near my family.
I'll be looking forward to creating new spaces for myself and hunting for just the right piece to compliment my decor.
There will be lots of new pictures once I'm settled so, until then...

be well and happy!
Audrey

Best of luck finding a home, Audrey....I know how hard it is to say goodbye to a home you've loved. I left my 1925 colonial with a heavy heart 3 1/2 yrs ago...but being close to family is so important...can't wait to see the new place.

Best wishes in your move! Being near family is the prime reason we won't move to my dream home - an older home - so I totally understand your situation. I hope your new home welcomes you with open arms!! HUGS!!

Audrey, being away from family is so difficult and 'family' is everything.
I think you are making the best choice.
1840 house is a 'house' but the people in it make it a home so NO MATTER WHERE YOU END UP LIVING IT WILL BE A 'HOME' so it will be just as warm and cozy as the 1840 house.

Good luck and we'll look forward to go on this journey with you. Hoping that is that you take us along!

Hugs, Karen

Audrey.. I know where you are coming from..many years ago I left my 1800's house to live in many since but taht one holds my heart but not nearly as tight as my Family!! Its the memories that are dear to me and I'm sure will be dear to you as well and no one can change or take away the memories!!
Last year I decided to move back to my home area to be closer to Carmen, Shane and the rest of my family. I had a great house and a great life but there was something missing my kids. I can't explain the importance of being close to them but I think you know..and you will have such a great time stepping off the train of life and stepping into the next stage of your train of life and it will be close to the ones who hold your heart the closest!
Make it the greatest adventure of your life..

Blessings
Tonya

I don't know how long you've been in your home. We've been in ours for 30+ years now and the thought of ever moving all my 'stuff' just boggles my mind! Hope things go smoothly for you!

I also long to be near my family,
I have lived a long way from them,
for 18 yrs! A house is a house,
but family makes it a home! I do
hope you have a safe and easy move.
I don't know where you are going,
but I hope it is warm!

Oh Audrey, I know exactly where you are coming from. In the year 2000 we left Vermont and returned to the West coast as that was where our kids were...The are all California Natives. My heart is still in New England. Our Family is our life...There is no comparison to the Joy we receive from our children and their children, our Wonderful Grandchildren. I say you are making the right decision ...

Much Love, Peace and Blessings,
Barb
